Tamarindo establishes strategies to become a leading sustainable tourism destination in five years

Tamarindo is setting out to be a regulated, authentic tourist destination, with sustainable practices, community participation, and a diversity of products primarily geared towards family entertainment. Local Tamarindo stakeholders have established three priority projects to be completed within a period of five years.


Triangle route from Air Transat to connect Vancouver, San José and Liberia

From December 18, 2019 to April 25, 2020, an Airbus A321LR from Air Transat will connect Vancouver, located on the Pacific coast of Canada, with two Costa Rican cities, San José and Liberia, on a route known as a triangle route.


ICT obtains carbon neutral plus designation

On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Costa Rican Tourism Board (ICT) is celebrating its recent achievement of the highest level under the Country Carbon Neutrality 2.0 Program: Carbon Neutral Plus. The distinction is the result of the sustainable action that ICT promotes as part of its institutional strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
